Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health

“A community of leading scientists, educators, and students working together to take innovative ideas from the laboratory to people’s lives, not only making scientific breakthroughs, but also working to change individual behaviors, public policies, and health care practices.”

Northeastern University Bouvé College of Health Sciences

“Advancing health for all, from campus to community; from cells to society; from local engagement to global impact.”

Our research team is comprised of researchers at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and Northeastern University Bouvé College of Health Sciences who partner with construction contractors to implement strategies for improving worker health and safety programs.

Our lab has over 40 years of experience researching and implementing health and safety initiatives in the construction industry.

We’ve identified best practices for improving safety and health programs at small subcontracting companies and understand the importance of integrating these initiatives into an organization’s policies, programs, and practices. The research team currently needs more subcontractors interested in implementing these approaches, as benefits are measured and the approach is systematically evaluated.
